Quote Extraction agent
Quote Extraction is an Optimizely Opal agent that extracts five to ten important quotes from a document, file, or URL.
- Challenge – Manually sifting through long documents to extract the most important and relevant quotes is inefficient and time-consuming.
- Agent outcome – Extracts important and relevant quotes from source documents or text.
- Value – Time saved, efficient content creation.
Install agent
Note
Opal Administrators, Agent Builders, and users with the Add, edit, and install specialized agents attribute for a custom role can add agents to their organization's Optimizely Opal instance. See Add users and set permissions.
Install the agent from the Opal Agent Directory.
- Go to Agents > Agent Directory.
- Select Quote Extraction.
- Click Install Agent to add it to your Opal instance.
Use the agent
In Opal Chat, enter @quote_extraction and provide the following details:
- (Optional) content – Text or a URL to extract quotes from.
- (Optional) file – A file to extract quotes from.
Provide at least one item for content or file.
The agent delivers a table of five to ten verbatim quotes with author attribution and source location for each.
To use the Quote Extraction agent in a workflow agent, drag and drop it into your workflow. See the Configure workflow section in the Create a workflow agent documentation.

The following are the default details of the Quote Extraction agent. After you install the agent in your Opal instance, you can customize these details based on your organization's needs. See Manage agents for instructions.
