Plan
Budgeting
In Optimizely Content Marketing Platform (CMP), you can set campaign budgets to track the costs of your team's activities. This lets you track how much you spend on marketing activities using external dollars.
Manage campaigns
Campaigns are integral to how you plan work in Optimizely Content Marketing Platform (CMP). You can nest your tasks, events, or other sub-campaigns in a campaign.
Manage campaign templates
A campaign template captures repeatable processes, information, and settings associated with a campaign in your organization. You can convert any campaign to a template where you can define the elements that belong to the original campaign, such as sub-campaigns, tasks, events, fields, contents, attachments, permissions, and so on.
Board view planning
The Board view in the Plan view provides an Agile-inspired experience to organize the work your team is doing. This highly customizable dynamic view is like a pivot table, letting you create and monitor a board with projects.
List view planning
The List view in the Plan module shows a hierarchal view of parent campaigns, sub-campaigns, tasks, and events in a table to provide context, regardless of the filters or search. Marketers never lose sight of the parent campaign that each activity rolls into and how these align with the overall strategy.
Events
An event indicates an activity separate from a campaign or task. The following example shows an event in the list view of the Plan module When you click an event from the Plan module, the event opens a drawer view on the right-hand side.
Manage campaign milestones
You can group related tasks into milestones in a project or campaign to improve the visibility of a project's progression. If a milestone date shifts, corresponding work automatically updates.
Resources
Managing teams, resources, and budgets effectively can be challenging when these shift and additional work arises. As marketers, you must reallocate resources and teams to different projects as deadlines shift and priorities change.
Resource management
The Resources module in Content Marketing Platform (CMP) gives admins a centralized view of team capacity, scheduling, and time tracking. Use it to spot workload imbalances, schedule and reassign steps, and compare estimated versus actual hours across your team.
Workload
The Workload tab in the Resources module in Content Marketing Platform (CMP) displays each team member's assigned steps in a heatmap grid, giving you a visual signal of who is over capacity, on track, or has available bandwidth. Use it to identify workload imbalances before they affect your team's output.
Planner
The Planner tab in the Resources module displays your team's assigned steps in a day-by-day calendar, organized by person. Use it to reassign steps, adjust due dates, and resolve capacity problems identified in the Workload tab.
Reports
The Reports tab in the Resources module summarizes estimated versus actual hours across your team's completed steps. Use it to evaluate how accurately work was scoped and identify patterns in over- or under-estimation.
Visual calendar
The visual calendar in the Plan module gives your team an overview of planned and scheduled marketing activities, including planned, in progress, and completed tasks and events. You can monitor the progress of what is on (or off) track and drill into specific work to ensure your team meets its goals.
Timeline calendar
The timeline calendar view lets you plan long-term activity with a Gantt chart view to maintain a single, long-term, comprehensive view of marketing campaigns, events, and supporting content activity. You also have a holistic view of tasks and events, letting users see where they should focus their efforts.
Universal filter
The Universal Filter lets you customize your view and select tabs to see activity differently. You have the following Quick Filters Created by Me – Lets you see the campaigns, tasks, and events that you created.
Saved filter views
A Saved View is a way to reuse frequently-used filter combinations. You create a saved view from the Plan module.
