Omnichannel content
Get started with omnichannel content
Omnichannel content (OCC) lets you create and distribute content across the channels in their respective ecosystem. OCC has the following conceptual types.
Model omnichannel content
The journey into Omnichannel Content (OCC) starts with content type . Designing content types is similar to designing models for database object-relational mappings (ORMs) or View models in the context of model-view-controller (MVC).
Create omnichannel content
You can create omnichannel content (OCC) in the following ways Application UX API ( Create or Edit ) in to the Library API and External Step in Task – Create or Edit Every content version is bound to a content type's version. When you create content, the content uses the latest version of the content type.
Push and pull omnichannel content strategies
When Omnichannel Content (OCC) is produced and organized in the Optimizely Content Marketing Platform (CMP) library, you decide whether to use push or pull distribution of the content. Push and pull strategies can be implemented within a single instance and even for the same pieces of content, so they do not have to be mutually exclusive.
Work with previews
While OCC facilitates the separation of content from its rendering, certain scenarios necessitate simultaneous viewing of the rendered content with creating content. The OCC preview is entirely API-driven, as illustrated in the following flowchart.
Content type versions
Every piece of content created in Optimizely Content Marketing Platform (CMP) relates to the latest version of the content type. Content type versions track and manage changes made to the structure of a content type.
Remote fields
Remote fields let you create your applications and include them as fields for users to interact in the editor. You can give administrators configuration options to adjust when a remote field is used at the content type level.
