Search options and tips
Optimizely Search & Navigation lets you build advanced search features based on visitor behavior, customized filtering, and faceted content navigation. It is included in the DXP services; it requires a specific installation and license for on-premises installations.
Boost search results through properties
Optimizely Search & Navigation has default properties, Title , Content , Summary , and Document content , that are automatically mapped to corresponding content properties. Each property has an adjustable weight setting that affects search result rankings.
Add search connectors
A search connector lets Optimizely Search & Navigation search content outside your website, such as an external blog related to your website. The connector lets your site visitors find the blog posts among your site's search results.
Explore the index
Most Optimizely Search & Navigation features are built on the search index, which stores and provides quick access to data the search engine collects. The search would be much slower without an index because each query must search through site data.
Set search result types
Go to Settings > Tools > Search Configuration to set the search providers for your site. This configuration lets you change the type of results the CMS global search bar returns.
