Languages
CMS and multiple languages
Many large websites display content in several languages. Optimizely Content Management System (CMS) has powerful support for multi-language management, including translating content into a wide range of languages , defining fallback languages for non-translated content, and switching languages for the editorial user interface .
Translate content
When a language is enabled, you are ready to translate existing content or create content in a specific language. Content here can be, for example, pages or blocks on an Optimizely Content Management System (CMS) website or product-related content on an ecommerce site.
Fallback languages
Multi-language websites frequently present incomplete content in specific languages. This happens when translations are unavailable, content is irrelevant for a particular language, or the system requires displaying content in a defined language.
Optimizely Languages app
The Optimizely Languages add-on manages languages and translations of content on multi-lingual websites. After an administrator installs and sets up the application (app), you can add Optimizely Languages as a gadget to activate languages for your website, manage language branches, and work with translation.
