You can use the API in Optimizely Commerce Connect for working with promotions (discounts) as part of a campaign. Promotions (discounts) are available to end-users under Marketing in the Commerce Connect user interface.

Custom promotions
When creating a new promotion type, you also need to create these PromotionData – Includes the metadata needed to run the promotion, represents a content-based promotion item. A processor – Evaluates if a promotion should be applied.
Hide promotion types
Hiding promotions can be useful in scenarios where you want to prevent merchandisers and marketers from creating new discounts of specific types. The components mentioned here are available in the EPiServer.
Exclude products from promotions
You can exclude catalog items from all promotions , or from one promotion , using the APIs described in the following . Components mentioned here are available in the EPiServer.
Promotion exclusions
You can determine which promotions cannot be combined with other promotions. For example, you are running a 20% off automotive supplies sale.
Coupons
The default coupon system supports setting a single coupon code for any promotion. If set, a matching coupon code must be supplied for the order, or the promotion is not applied.
Custom facets in the marketing overview
Many ecommerce sites have a large number of campaigns and promotions running. Facets in Optimizely Commerce Connect let users apply filters to campaigns and discounts (promotions), for easier location of specific items in the Campaign view.
