Warehouses and inventories
A warehouse is the physical place with an address from which product items can be shipped. Optimizely Commerce Connect includes the option to add and track a list of inventory locations within the system.
Inventory requests
In an environment with concurrency, inventory quantities can be corrupted; and inventory allocations are difficult or impossible to undo if an order is canceled, deleted, or otherwise undone. The inventory system ignores ambient transactions active in the calling system to prevent concurrency performance issues.

Direct database access usually is not a recommended practice. Instead, you should access this information either through the Optimizely Service API https //docs.
Warehouses and inventories examples
Use IInventoryService. GetCacheSkippingInstance(IEnumerable\<string>) to get an instance of IInventoryService that skips the cache on reads.
Multi-warehouse implementations
You can define multiple inventory locations in the system. These are any place with inventory you want to track, whether a warehouse is used for shipping, individual stores, a factory, or whatever meets your needs.
