Business foundation
Business Foundation
Architects and developers of data-oriented applications have struggled with the need to achieve two different objectives. They must model the entities, relationships, and logic of the business problems they are solving, and work with the data engines used to store and retrieve data.
Generate typed Business Foundation classes
Business Foundation (BF) is an Object Relation Modeling tool built into Optimizely Commerce Connect that lets you store custom data that does not fit into the commerce data model. You almost always need to store custom data, such as data related to customer pricing, gift cards, and authentication SSO tickets.
SQL meta-model
See Work with SQL records for information about working with database records. Classes in this topic are available in the Mediachase.
Extend meta-models
You can extend meta-models through the use of modules, which is part of the meta-model that provides the main entry point in the client for extensibility objects. Install modules in the system and activate them from the meta-class.
Export and import meta-models
You can export and import meta-models. You also can compare two meta-models, which is useful during these operations.
