Roles
1 min
Spire CMS has the following permission roles: CMS_ContentEditor, CMS_ContentDeveloper, CMS_SiteEditor, CMS_Publisher, and CMS_SystemAdmin. Each role lets users perform some actions while blocking other actions. You can assign a role to a user by going to Administration > Users > Console Users and selecting the roles you want that user to have.
Can Impersonate permission
The Can Impersonate permission controls whether users assigned to a role can impersonate storefront users from the Admin Console.
The four built-in roles (ISC_System, ISC_Implementer, ISC_Admin, ISC_User) have impersonation enabled by default. Custom roles do not have this permission by default and must be granted it explicitly.
To enable impersonation for a custom role:
- Go to Administration > System > Application Dictionary > UserProfile.
- Select permissions.
- Edit the custom role.
- Set Can Impersonate to Yes.
- Click Save.
