Search extensions
Given the complexity of digital commerce, you may need to extend the Elasticsearch document types within Optimizely Configured Commerce. The product types are the only supported extension types.
Customize the search rebuild process
The search rebuild version 2 process improves speed and performance of index builds. Optimizely recommends upgrading to version 2.
Add custom properties to the search index
You can add custom properties to the search index by enabling the queryable flag in the Admin Console. Custom properties are then treated as text and added to the ExactMatch, PrefixMatch, and PhraseMatch queries during a search.
Implement a third-party search provider
Configured Commerce provides a Shared Search abstraction that allows for new providers to be developed. Using the pipelines and handlers provided by Shared Search can decrease the time needed to implement the new search provider.
