Universal exploration overview
In Analytics, you can create visual explorations with analytic building blocks. The universal exploration template lets you do free-form analytics, so you can slice and dice multiple measures using attributes, filters, and segments like you do with other Analytics exploration templates.
Build a Universal Exploration
Consider a scenario where you want to calculate the total revenue earned per session, segmented by the All Actors and Regular Watchers cohorts. Go to + > Universal .
Understand your universal exploration analysis
The template consists of the following five modules Measure module module module module The measure module contains a + icon that lets you choose a measure to calculate for the selected events and segments. You can reorder the measures you add to the module using drag and drop.
Example: Calculate a cumulative sum
You can create cumulative sums in Universal Explorations in Analytics. For example, the following steps walk through creating a cumulative sum of make purchase events in the last 30 days Click + > Universal exploration .
