Optimizely’s Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) is a digital inventory solution with access via a mobile app and desktop. You can digitally count inventory by scanning product barcodes and submit orders via a mobile app.
Set up VMI
To start using Optimizely's Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), you must configure four areas Admin Console - Enable VMI and assign user roles. Classic/Spire CMS - Set up the VMI link within the Mobile App and make any other changes to the VMI pages within the storefront using the out-of-the box Classic/Spire CMS widget configurations.
Add and edit locations
Before you can add products to Optimizely's Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), you must add locations for where the products live. These locations are based on addresses assigned to customers .
Set up and manage products
After you have added locations in Optimizely's Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), you can add products. VMI also lets you import product counts, reorder products, export products, and print a label sheet with QR codes or barcodes.
Set up and edit users
In addition to assigning roles to website users in the Admin Console, you can add more users while using Optimizely's Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) on the storefront. Go to Users .
View reports
Optimizely's Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) offers a reporting feature so you can view metrics for products in each location. The Reporting page automatically displays results for the first location.
