Set up Classic CMS roles
1 min
Important
Classic CMS reached end-of-life in January 2025 and is no longer receiving feature updates or bug fixes. You should [migrate to Spire CMS](../../End user docs/spire-cms/get-started-with-spire-cms/migrate-from-classic-cms-to-spire-cms.mdx).
To add, edit, review, and approve content in the Admin Console or Classic CMS, Optimizely Configured Commerce users must be assigned the appropriate roles:
- ISC_ContentEditor – Users may add and edit content
- ISC_ContentApprover – Users may preview, approve, and publish content
- ISC_ContentAdmin – Users may add, edit, preview, approve, and publish content. Additionally, this role can create and edit page templates.
Note
Although it is not a requirement, users with the ISC_ContentApprover role should also have the ISC_ContentEditor role to make minor edits to content prior to approving the revision.
