Manage widgets and device-specific content
Based on their mobile access strategy, organizations may wish to use widgets to change the way page content is displayed on various devices. Keep in mind, widgets themselves do not support the targeting of specific device types or other variables.
Classic CMS default language
The CMS (Content Management System) Edit Mode lets you switch displayed languages and preview translated content. Widgets that have language variants will display the language that has been selected.

The Optimizely Configured Commerce Content Management System (CMS) allows for contextual content. Contextual content allows ISC Content users to manage a variety of content for a website based on who is viewing the site (personas), the device they are using, or the language they prefer.
Add a promotional banner for a customer segment
Instead of creating a page variant that includes promotional content on it, where the entire page is targeted to a specific customer segment or other group based on the rules you define, you could use widgets to target specific promotions or content to customer segments. Select a customer segment, for example Authenticated Users , from the Customer Segment drop-down list.
