Edit predefined content
Predefined Content describes content pages that already exist in the Content Management System (CMS), which may already contain populated widgets. Generally, these pages are created during implementation, but they may be modified at any time.
Edit header link names
The base installation of an Optimizely Configured Commerce site contains a Link List widget in the header with links to four pages About Us Contact Us Quick Order Location Finder If these names need to be edited or if other pages need to be quick linked, edit the widget as follows. After signing in as a Content Editor or ContentAdmin , hover over the blue triangle in the upper left corner, and select Show CMS .
Get started with Classic CMS pages
Optimizely Configured Commerce sites are composed of multiple web pages. These pages are named for their purpose/function, for example, the Product List page, displays a list of products for sale on your site within a given category.
Create a Classic CMS page
Use the CMS to create new pages or copy existing pages for your Configured Commerce site. Add pages at the top level of the hierarchy and display them on the navigation bar, or choose to hide pages from navigation and link them to parent pages.
Preview a revision
Content previewing allows Content Editors, Content Approvers, and Content Admins to view new content changes before they are published. To preview a revision, complete the following steps.
Customize the Classic CMS home page
During the implementation process, an initial website is built within the Content Management System (CMS) and the Admin Console. The Console manages and administers the integration between the websites and Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP).
Customize a landing page
A custom landing page is a feature that allows Configured Commerce Administrators to assign a specific URL to a customer. This URL displays a personalized welcome message, product suggestions, or relevant news to the user after they log in to the commerce site.
Create news Lists, articles, and blogs
Use the News Page page type to add press releases, new product information, or other company news to the website. To create a news article, the user must have a content editor role, content approver role, or content administrator role assigned.
Manage My Accounts page
An Optimizely Configured Commerce website provides users with a convenient dashboard within the My Accounts page to manage and monitor their activity within the website. Upon logging into the website, a user may want to have quick access to information about any orders or quotes they have submitted or to quickly place an order without having to go through the website.
Edit the About Us page
The Content Management System provides a predefined About Us page in the content tree. To create content on the About Us page, the user needs the Content Editor or Content Administrator role assigned to them.
Customize the Contact Us form page
Optimizely Configured Commerce provides a standard contact form used to capture feedback from users. The form includes standard fields such as first name and last name.
Configure location finder
Use the Optimizely Configured Commerce Location Finder to provide customers with your dealers, branches, or any other locations you choose to display. You can upload locations in the Admin Console, then display them as pin points on a map (provided by Google Maps), allowing customers to search for a nearby location.
Add CSS to Classic CMS
Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a style sheet language used to describe how HTML elements (color, layout, font, and so on) are displayed on a webpage. CSS can be used in Optimizely Configured Commerce to modify the design of the website without making changes to the base code.
Create a page template
Users assigned the ISC ContentAdmin role can create and modify page templates. Page templates are preconfigured pages ISC ContentEditor and ISC ContentAdmin roles can use when creating pages.
Modify error handling pages
Manage error-handling page templates in the Optimizely Configured Commerce to provide contextual help or links to existing content when website errors occur. Configured Commerce provides three standard error handling pages 403 Unauthorized Access The user does not have permission to view the requested file or resource.
