[NOTICE] End of life announcement for Commerce Legacy Build Service
As of September 30, 2026, Optimizely stops updating and enhancing the Configured Commerce legacy build service, which runs on TeamCity. Build service v2, which runs on Kubernetes, replaces the legacy TeamCity-based service and adds scalability and security.
[NOTICE] Database Backups will be self-service only
Effective April 16, 2026, DB Backups will be self-service only. In an effort to increase security practices around handling of customer data, Optimizely will no longer fulfill support requests for retrieving DB backups starting on April 16th, 2026.
[NOTICE] Google Play policy update for Mobile App
Google Play has introduced a policy change for App content Photo and video permissions . This policy requires all apps to declare clearly why they need access to users' images and videos.

As part of a recent project to improve infrastructure and upgrade to . NET 8 , Optimizely now uses Linux-based environments for all new Configured Commerce project initiations.
[NOTICE] Introducing Mission Control
Optimizely is excited to announce that Mission Control is now generally available for all Configured Commerce customers and partners. Mission Control is Optimizely’s in-house, multi-tenant infrastructure management tool that supports building, releasing, and configuring Configured Commerce cloud environments.
[NOTICE] End of life announcement for Commerce Search v1
Effective February 1, 2026, Optimizely will discontinue support for Commerce Search v1, which is powered by Elasticsearch v5. As of that date, Optimizely will no longer include Commerce Search v1 in release regression testing and will not make any more base code updates.
[NOTICE] Mission Control 10/9 release window - Disruptions likely
Optimizely will be conducting infrastructure upgrades for Mission Control during the normal weekly release window on October 9, 2025, between 13 00-16 00 CT (19 00-22 00 UTC). Due to the upgrades, Mission Control action usage will be disrupted during this time, and you should refrain from running or scheduling actions, as they will most likely result in failure.
[NOTICE] Updating WAF rules
What – Optimizely will perform an update to the Web Application Firewall (WAF) rules in use on your Configured Commerce Cloudflare zones. This change helps ensure the continued security and availability of your site.
[NOTICE] Support policy update
There is an upcoming change to the support policy for Optimizely Configured Commerce. To streamline support processes and reduce time-to-resolution for cases and inquiries, support cases will no longer be escalated to product engineering unless the current Long-Term Support (LTS) version or newer is in use.

[NOTICE] Mission Control Release Window Change
Please note that Mission Control's release window for next week has been rescheduled to June 17th from 3 0 0 PM - 5 0 0 PM EST (19 0 0 - 21 0 0 UTC) due to Optimizely's observance of the Juneteenth Holiday on June 19th. We do not anticipate any downtime or major disruption during this release, but as with any release window we strongly recommend to avoid scheduling or executing any critical actions during the window.
[NOTICE] Mission Control - Deprecation of Execute SQL - Performance Queries action
Optimizely Configured Commerce has deprecated Mission Control's Execute SQL - Performance Queries action for a more advanced tool, Microsoft's Query Store. Background Optimizely initially developed the Performance Queries action to monitor performance for Configured Commerce instances using SQL 2012.
[NOTICE] Update on Mobile App publishing
Starting in April 2025, Optimizely will no longer handle app publishing to app stores for clients. You are responsible for app publishing and can do so with the help of a partner or Expert Services.

As a part of the improvement to our infrastructure, Optimizely regularly updates the underlying OS for the servers our application is hosted on. All Sandbox environments for Configured Commerce have been updated to Windows Server 2022.

Mission Control is conducting a release on January 28, 2025, with many backend improvements. While Optimizely does not expect this to cause any downtime for users, disruptions could occur within the release timeframe.

The Optimizely Configured Commerce engineering team will conduct maintenance on Mission Control on Monday, June 24 from 8 a. m.
[NOTICE] June release shifted by one week
To complete as many Q2 roadmap items as possible, the Configured Commerce team has delayed the June release by one week from Thursday, June 20 to Thursday, June 27. Once the release is available, the cloud release schedule page will be updated with the release information.

[NOTICE] Bug affecting May release
We have discovered a bug impacting the May release that impacts developers working on Spire in their local environment. We have fixed the issue and replaced the original May release with hotfix 5.
[NOTICE] May release date shifted by one week to 5/25/2023
The Configured Commerce engineering team has recently implemented several process improvements to reduce the amount of time required for the monthly release cycle. Together, these initiatives have reduced our internal release cycle by five business days, increasing the team’s engineering capacity for feature enhancements.
[NOTICE] Hotfix submission deadline
Optimizely has set a deadline for hotfix submissions to ensure that the team has adequate time to finish the upcoming release. Optimizely only accepts hotfixes for the current release until 1 week prior to the upcoming release, known as code lock day.
[NOTICE] - Intermittent Mailgun connection issues
Customers using Mailgun may experience issues with emails not being sent in Configured Commerce. We are currently monitoring the situation and will address issues as quickly as possible.
[NOTICE] - Logging change coming February 9, 2023
Integration job logs are being populated into Application Logs due to a misconfiguration. Starting February 9, 2023 at 9 00am CST, all new deployments to sandbox and production for v2+ customers will resolve this logging issue.
[NOTICE] - Critical Bug affecting October, November, and December 2022 Releases
Customers who use alternate warehouses will experience increased performance issues as traffic scales due to a recursion issue introduced in the October 2022 Release. Update to hotfix 5.
[NOTICE] - Sync releases cancelled in 2023
Optimizely Configured Commerce will discontinue the sync release process in 2023. We have previously required you to stay within a few versions of the current release and force updated Sandboxes if they fell out of sync.
