Manage PIM assets
Assets are the images and files you need to sell your products and categories. You can assign assets to products and publish from Optimizely Product Information Management (PIM) to your website.
Organize PIM assets
Create folders for a group of assets so you can upload similar assets together in Optimizely Product Information Management (PIM). For example, create a folder called Faucets , then create subfolders for Faucet Images , Faucet Specifications , and Faucet Manuals .
Create an asset
You can create an individual asset. Click Assets > Create .
Edit an asset
You can edit or enhance asset information. Go to Assets and click an individual asset's name to view its details.
Assign PIM assets
You can use the Images or Documents tabs on a product's details page to assign assets to products. Go to Products .
Auto-assign assets
Use the auto-assign by name feature when you create or import products to minimize the effort of assigning assets to products. Auto Assign to Products – Shows options to allow matching assets to products by file name during import.
Update asset data
You can update existing assets in bulk by exporting the asset data and importing the file after making changes. Go to Assets , and select or filter for the assets you want to update.
Replace an asset
After you assigned an asset, you can replace the image without having to delete and re-add an image. Go to Assets and select the asset you want to replace.
Filter assets
Filter assets based on their metadata, tags, and other system statuses, such as Uncategorized . Click Assets .
Archive an asset
Use the search or filter options to locate the assets you wish to archive. Choose one or more assets using the selector to the left of the asset icon in the asset list.
Restore an asset
You can choose to restore archived assets. Deleted assets cannot be restored.
Delete an asset
Assets that are deleted cannot be restored. All records about the deleted asset are removed from your site.
