2025 Campaign Release Notes
Campaign 11.19
Optimizely Campaign 11.19 was released on Wednesday, Dec 10, 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Changeable background color of bar codes in coupon blocks Users can change the bar code background color when generating bar codes for a coupon block.
Online version of emails created with Design Editor available through HTTP-API The end point onlineversion of the HTTP API now supports requesting online versions of messages that were created with the Design Editor for emails.
Unavailable message templates hidden When CMS is not enabled in a client, message templates created in the Template Kit Editor are no longer displayed in the message template overview.
UI fixes and improvements The menu for selecting message templates was too small by default; Page Edit SMS Content updated and aligned with page Edit RCS Content.
Basic RCS message editor An editor for RCS messages is introduced, currently it supports text messages with 160 characters.
Adjust click behavior of linked images from product data interface When editing content from the product data interface, images with links are now clickable in preview mode, but not in the editor itself.
Fixed: Wrong permission required for message draft creation The permission to create a message template was required for selecting any Design Editor message template and for creating a Design Editor message draft.
Campaign 11.18
Optimizely Campaign 11.18 was released on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Updated Campaign Login Screen in preparation of Opti ID enablement Two-step login screen allows conditional login procedure for local Campaign or Opti ID authentication.
Select all Option in Column Selection Dropdown of all Grids Column selection is more comfortable now as you can select or deselect all columns with the new select all option.
Rest-API improvement for emails created with the Design Editor Get message endpoint now responds with full meta data information of messages like subject, senderName and more.
User Create screen improved for Opti ID flow Adjusted validation of form when Opti ID is selected as identity provider.
Fixed: Do not filter valid Velocity code in local part of sender address in Design Editor It was not possible to add Velocity code for dynamic setting of sender email address.
Rollout: Attachments in Design Editor Files can now be attached to message drafts created with the Design Editor for emails.
Rollout: Favicon in Design Editor Add a favicon to message drafts that will be used when visiting online version.
Campaign 11.17
Optimizely Campaign 11.17 was released on Wednesday, November 12. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Additional heading levels in Design Editor The heading levels available in the Design Editor were extended with the levels H4 to H6.
Style fixes and improvements The file upload component was re-styled; button labels in the report generation wizard were improved.
Campaign 11.16
Optimizely Campaign 11.16 was released on Wednesday, October 29. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Message draft description available as field function The description of a message draft from the email node in the campaign editor is now available as a field function when sending test messages.
Design Editor style fixes and improvements The redo tooltip is now displayed correctly in the German UI; Overlong texts in the non-English UI on the mobile button are now properly truncated.
Fixed: Rows with target group not shown in visual link analysis When using visual link analysis for message drafts created with the Design Editor for emails, rows with target groups were not visible.
Campaign 11.15
Optimizely Campaign 11.15 was released on Wednesday, October 15. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Field Functions dialog restyled The Field Functions dialog is now bigger and was restyled.
Column resizing improved Resizing areas, indicators and mouse pointer symbols were adjusted to make resizing of grid columns more user-friendly.
Test messages for WhatsApp Users can now send test messages for WhatsApp message drafts with static content
Font weight 350 The Design Editor now supports fonts with a font weight of 350 (book).
Campaign 11.14
Optimizely Campaign 11.14 was released on Wednesday, October 1. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Numbers added to font weights In the Design Editor, users can now see the numerical CSS value of each font weight next to the font weight's name.
Design Editor style fixes and improvements Improved styling of history-related buttons; Better size and visibility of pop-up menus in the "Sender & Subject" menu; For long font names, the checkmark indicating the selected font was not visible; The unnecessary label Display Condition in the section Dynamic Content was removed.
Wider fields in Marketing Automation The width of drop-down fields displayed when editing a node in Marketing Automation's campaign editor was increased to show long texts completely.
Campaign 11.13
Optimizely Campaign 11.13 was released on Wednesday, September 17. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Anchor addon works with older Outlook versions The anchor feature was improved so that anchor links now also work with older Outlook versions.
Custom attributes in synchronized row templates Custom HTML attributes can now also be added to synchronized row templates.
Usage indicator for synchronized rows When editing a synchronized row, a "Used in x designs" indicator is displayed. This indicator is clickable and leads to the sheet showing all landing pages and message drafts that use the synchronized row.
Classification of bounces with code 554 Email bounces with code 554 are now generally classified as soft bounces, with some exceptions.
WhatsApp template selection grid A template selection page for WhatsApp messages is now available.
Fixed: Target group saved with incompatible fields When a customer copied a target group from one client to another client where the recipient list fields were different, a broken target group was saved and could not be edited. This is now prevented with a compatibility check.
Fixed: UI Elements disabled when Campaign language is not English When the UI language was not English in the WhatsApp configuration, two features could not be used: The button for activating sender numbers was disabled and static WhatsApp templates could not be selected when creating a campaign.
Fixed: Concurrent editing of WhatsApp message draft possible Attempts to open a WhatsApp message draft that was already open, were not blocked.
Fixed: Tracking configuration lost in A/B test In campaigns with an A/B test, the tracking configuration of the winning message draft was discarded after the test was finished.
Fixed: Accessibility test error when using field functions When a message draft contained field functions evaluating recipient data, the accessibility check produced an error.
Campaign 11.12
Optimizely Campaign 11.12 was released on Wednesday, September 3. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
No redirects for automated clicks When Campaign detects an automated click, a 200 HTTP response (OK) is sent instead of a redirect to the link target.
Fixed: Wrong UI for display conditions In the Design Editor for emails, the user interface for showing display conditions of rows is now simpler and easier to understand.
Fixed: Wrong rendering of mobile indicator in the Design Editor side panel The border of the indicator for mobile-specific elements in the Design Editor's side panel was not rendered correctly; the label of the indicator was not correct in all languages.
Fixed: Missing pure text version when using synchronized rows The pure text version of a message draft was missing after adding a synchronized row.
Campaign 11.11
Optimizely Campaign 11.11 was released on Wednesday, August 20. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Request ODP data through both segment APIs Retrieval of ODP data always happens trough both available APIs: the old GraphQL API and the new file-based export API.
Fixed: Error in tracking parameter validation Tracking link parameters could not contain the character "-" because of an error in the input check.
Campaign 11.10
Optimizely Campaign 11.10 was released on Wednesday, August 6. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Remove "Beta-Editor" from email node In the campaign editor, the message node that uses the Design Editor was renamed to E-Mail (new) from E-Mail (Beta Editor).
Option to deactivate sharing of saved rows across clients The new feature switch disableSharingSavedRows controls, if saved rows are shared between clients within an organization.
Fixed: Design Editor always available for message templates The Design Editor was available for creating message templates even when it was not activated for creating message drafts within campaigns.
Fixed: AI-generated subject lines not saved If a subject line was generated with AI and not edited afterwards, it was not saved.
Campaign 11.9
Optimizely Campaign 11.9 was released on Wednesday, July 23. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Accessibility Test: Improved rules New accessibility rules were added and the descriptions of some rules were improved.
Fixed: Problem with Velocity code detection in sender address In the menu Sender and Subject, a problem with the detection of velocity code within the sender address was fixed and thus the validation of the sender address was improved.
Campaign 11.8
Optimizely Campaign 11.8 was released on Wednesday, July 9. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Accessibility Test: Text improvements The names and descriptions of some accessibility rules were improved.
Accessibility Test: Improved selection of recommendations Recommendations that are not applicable to the content of a message draft are no longer displayed, e.g. when a message draft contains no images, no image-related recommendations will be displayed.
No alt text required for images from CMP DAM Using images from CMP DAM in the Design Editor required images with an alternative text. Now, images with or without an alternative text can be inserted from CMP DAM.
Fixed: Loss of changes to a synchronized row When a Design A with a synchronized row was opened and at the same time a Design B containing the same synchronized row was opened and in this Design B the synchronized row was edited and saved, the changes in the synchronized row did not appear in Design A.
Campaign 11.7
Optimizely Campaign 11.7 was released on Wednesday, June 25. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Accessibility Test Message drafts can now be automatically tested for compliance with most accessibility criteria which are defined by the European Accessibility Act (EAA).
Fixed: Simultaneous editing of message templates not blocked Users could open and edit a message template when another user was already editing the same message template.
Fixed: Creating message templates fails When trying to create or copy a message template made with the Design Editor for emails, an error message was displayed.
Campaign 11.6
Optimizely Campaign 11.6 was released on Wednesday, June 11. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Interactive tutorials in English An overview page for interactive tutorials in English is available and can be accessed through the help menu.
Fixed: Changes to message drafts not saved (REST API) In rare cases, editing the sender address in a message draft through REST API did not work.
Fixed: Texts for CMP library addon missing In the Design Editor for emails, the UI label texts for the CMP library addon were not always loaded correctly, so that technical keys were displayed instead of the proper texts.
Campaign 11.5
Optimizely Campaign 11.5 was released on Tuesday, May 27. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Access to CMP DAM from Design Editor Image assets from CMP DAM are available directly in the Design Editor for emails.
Validation in Sender and Subject dialog In the Sender and Subject dialog, Input validation and error highlighting were improved.
Cross-client copying of campaigns with synchronized rows When copying campaigns to another client, message drafts with synchronized rows can now also be copied. The synchronized rows are detached during this process, so that they become static content in the target client.
Fixed: Wrong grid filtering when creating a message template When creating a message template, the available grid entries were not always correctly limited to message drafts and campaigns with only one message draft.
Campaign 11.4
Optimizely Campaign 11.4 was released on Wednesday, May 14. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Only relevant target groups available for test messages When sending test messages, only the target groups that are actually used in the message draft can be selected for rendering the test message.
Improved tracking of opens Partially rendered emails are now by default counted as opens and in campaigns using the Design Editor for emails, the placement of the tracking pixel was improved.
Fixed: Font issue with system links in synchronized rows Using a system link in a synchronized row changed the font to monospace.
Fixed: Problem with special characters in page selector For Design Editor pages, the page selector displayed HTML character codes instead of special characters.
Rollout: AI Writing Assistant The Design Editor for emails and landing pages now offers AI support for writing. It is available for the content elements text, heading, list and button.
Campaign 11.3
Optimizely Campaign 11.3 was released on Tuesday, April 29. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Style fixes and improvements Test Email dialog restyled; HTML Editor sheet restyled.
Fixed: Link parameters missing If a JavaScript field function was only used to get a parameter in a link, it was not properly evaluated and the link parameter was missing in the sent emails.
Campaign 11.2
Optimizely Campaign 11.2 was released on Tuesdy, April 15. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Option to set Noindex and Nofollow for landing pages Customers can now indicate if they want search engines to index their pages and follow links or not.
Fixed: Sending test messages for single Opt-in message drafts did not work The Send Test Message dialog of single Opt-in message with CMS content could not detect contained mime types, therefore the buttons for sending test emails were missing.
Campaign 11.1
Optimizely Campaign 11.1 was released on Wednesday, April 2. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Preview of text version shows only content without display conditions The preview of an email's pure text version no longer shows all content but only the content without display conditions.
Improved validation of sender & subject data In the Design Editor for emails, data validation related to sender & subject now applies the same checks as in the old Template Kit Editor.
No more special characters in local parts of sender addresses Special characters in the local parts of sender addresses are no longer allowed because they caused bounces.
Removed 24h warning on domain setup screen When the validation in Campaign is successful, new domains can be used immediately.
Fixed: Simultaneous editing of one message draft not blocked The Design Editor for emails allowed opening of the same message draft by two users simultaneously.
Fixed: Option for ignoring blocklist entries did not work for opt-in messages When an option for ignoring spam-related blocklisting was active, recipients who were blocklisted because of mailbox provider feedback, still did not receive opt-in messages for which the blocklist entry was expected to be ignored. Now, when the option is active, a blocklisted recipient can partake in a new opt-in process which removes him from the blocklist.
Campaign 10.45
Optimizely Campaign 10.45 was released on Wednesday, March 19. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Target group simulation for test emails When sending test emails for message drafts created in the design editor for emails, you can now select a target group for rendering the test email.
Target group sorting for showing selected target groups on top In the Sender & Subject and Display Conditions dialogs of the design editor for emails, users can now sort target groups so that currently selected target groups are displayed on top of the list.
UI fixes and improvements The styling of some menu elements was updated; When opening a message draft for editing, the text in the page selector was updated more often than required; the UTM parameters in a dropdown in the Tracking menu are now ordered alphabetically
Copy campaign with archiving options When copying a campaign with archiving to another client, the archiving options are now also copied.
Text version added to test emails When sending a test email, the text version is now included alongside the HTML version.
Safer password policy New passwords now have to comply with a strong password policy.
Fixed: Sending domain and reply-to address incompatible with target client When copying a campaign using the design editor for emails to another client, the sending domain was copied to the target client and in some cases, users could not change it.
Fixed: Sync failed because of duplicate ODP values Synchronizing a recipient list with ODP failed if ODP provided values for the same field twice.
Campaign 10.44
Optimizely Campaign 10.44 was released on Wednesday, March 5. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Performance in Activity Overview In Analytics > Activity Overview, the performance of filtering was improved.
Fixed: Incomplete validation in coupon barcode configuration When defining a coupon bar code, the validation of the entered values was incomplete.
Fixed: Incomplete title of the Link Validation page When a message draft's name contained special characters (&, <, >, ", `, '), this name was missing on the page Link Validation.
Fixed: Rendering error in settings dialog of wait node When escapeHtmlForMessageTagParameters was enabled, some elements in the settings dialog of the wait node were not rendered correctly.
Fixed: Incomplete confirmation message for opt-in processes When starting an opt-in process, the confirmation message was not fully shown.
Campaign 10.43
Optimizely Campaign 10.43 was released on Wednesday, February 19. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
More columns per row Email message drafts can now contain up to 12 columns in each row, instead of the previous 6.
UI fixes and improvements In the start campaign dialog, "<br>" was displayed; resizing the tracking link window caused a display error; some other minor fixes.
REST API supports transactional campaigns with multiple message nodes The REST API now has the required endpoints for managing transactional campaigns with multiple message nodes.
Archiving with design editor Transactional campaigns using the design editor now support message archiving.
Fixed: Error with design editor in private window Editing a message draft or a landing page in a private Firefox window led to an error message.
Fixed: Firefox crash when clicking Edit or Settings in CMS After clicking settings or edit on a paragraph, the CMS page started loading the content and crashed the Firefox tab.
Campaign 10.42
Optimizely Campaign 10.42 was released on Wednesday, February 5. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Cross-client copying for campaigns Campaigns using the Design Editor for emails can now be copied between clients within the same organization.
Background color for bar codes Users can now set a background color for bar codes generated by a field function.
Validation of bar code dimensions Inputs for bar code dimensions are now validated and automatically changed to the nearest allowed value when out of range.
Restyled Sender & Subject dialog The dialog now provides improved scaling for big screens.
Campaign 10.41
Optimizely Campaign 10.41 was released on Wednesday, January 22. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Improved validation for URL parameters The validation of manually entered parameters in the URL Parameters tab is now more precise.
Reporting for transactional messages The Response Data Export (Mailing Log Job) now supports transactional messages (including a/b tests) in addition to event messages.
UI fixes and improvements The page for editing bar codes now has a fitting title; the display behavior of drop-down menus in scrollable areas was improved
Fixed: Wrong result in link validation In rare cases, link validation shows a 403 error for links that actually work.
Fixed: Missing push events in ODP Sent push message where not recorded in the recipient's profile in ODP.
Fixed: Error when trying to access sending domain in browser With some configurations, when recipients attempted to open the sending domain in a browser, they saw an error message. Now, the domain can no longer be configured in a way that leads to this error.
Fixed: Wrong replacement logic for duplicated parameters When URL parameters for a link where defined on link level and on message draft level, the message draft level parameters were ignored. Now, the message draft level parameters are kept and only when a parameter key is used again on link level, does it overwrite the message draft level parameter with the same key.
Campaign 10.40
Optimizely Campaign 10.40 was released on Wednesday, January 8. 2025. Among many other improvements and fixes, it contains the following changes:
Wait node for Batch Sending API Batch sending campaigns now support a wait node that starts sending at a configurable time of day after the campaign is activated.
UI fixes and improvements Improvements in the coupon block UI; better positioning of loading spinner icon; fixed missing text when changing click profiles; improved UI on the page Edit Synchronization Task; fixed click profile window inside the Tracking Link window of an email node.
Add Tab for URL parameters in the Tracking menu A tab for editing URL Parameters (aka Tracking Link Extensions) on message draft level was added to the Tracking menu.
