The OCP database is not included in the free version of OCP. The free version syncs data in real-time without using the OCP database, letting you access public apps and data syncs.

Contact your Customer Success Manager if you have any questions.
:::

Optimizely Connect Platform (OCP) lets you connect and sync data between external systems and Optimizely products, including between two Optimizely products themselves. OCP provides a UI for importing data, installing apps, and managing data syncs with other Optimizely products. If you have the paid version of OCP, you can also view your OCP database. OCP can also be used to connect external systems to Agent Platform for use within [Mark chat](docId\:dtNBEttEGVvkhNkwNypLM) and [agents](docId\:w7MSVijPnuFqu4nXDo_bq). To view a listing of current Mark apps, see the [Connector tools overview ](docId\:eeUZC_bU6INq4qTCkqXjU)documentation.

See [OCP Demo](https://optimizely.wistia.com/medias/e06hxdnnlg) for a video walkthrough of OCP.

## App directory

When you log in to OCP, the **App Directory** displays. The **App Directory** is where you can install and configure available apps and where any custom apps you build using the [OCP developer platform](docId\:ZkIBQlNrMeeNKlb0etdWK) are listed. The apps sync data in real-time or import and export data into the OCP database.

See [Install and configure apps](docId\:j446gtPLOWADc3ONCx1NQ) for an overview of the OCP **App Directory** and a list of the available apps and installation instructions.

## Sync manager

Use the **Sync Manager** to create and manage data syncs between OCP and other Optimizely products. See [Sync manager](docId:9MPJ0gwsoXoAubpkwFgyD) for information.

Each sync displays status details, including successes and errors.

## Data syncs

OCP uses a user-friendly UI-based data sync system that lets you sync data between a **Source** and a **Destination**. Options depend on your installed apps and which Optimizely products you have access to.

You can do the following:

- **Map any source to any destination** – Customize syncs based on your data needs.
- **Choose a sync frequency** – Some sources support real-time syncs. Others support scheduled intervals.

## Advanced features

### Database

Every paid OCP account includes a customizable database that you can personalize to ingest object data from any source. This database lets you get your third-party data into a format that is consumable by other Optimizely products.

You can import data into the OCP database using the following options:

- Point-and-click apps built on the OCP developer platform. [OCP provides some apps by default](docId\:j446gtPLOWADc3ONCx1NQ), and you can build your own using the [OCP developer platform](docId\:ZkIBQlNrMeeNKlb0etdWK).
- [Sync CSV files](docId:1duiiBUZSFnVPLjJD_snN) to OCP's dedicated S3 bucket. You can do a one-time import or configure a recurring import.
- [Directly sync data to the OCP API](docId:1duiiBUZSFnVPLjJD_snN) with a tool (like Tray.ai) or a custom solution.

See [OCP database overview](docId\:OSpaMWPIb7BicUHFGuENr) for information.

### View the database

To view your OCP database schema, go to **Objects & Fields** or **Objects Explorer**.

The **Objects & Fields** display the database schema, which is comprised of the objects (database tables) and their fields (database table columns). It does not show the data contained in those objects and fields. You can manually create any necessary objects, fields, and relationships.

The **Objects Explorer **display the data contained in your OCP database's objects (database tables) and fields (database table columns). This gives you a visual of the data you import into the OCP database.

You can select the object for which you want to view database records, search for specific records, select which database columns you want to view, sort by specific columns in ascending or descending order, and view details for each record.

See [OCP database overview](docId\:OSpaMWPIb7BicUHFGuENr) for information.

### Developer platform

The OCP developer platform is a serverless compute environment for building and publishing custom OCP apps. You can use it to create point-and-click apps that import data into the OCP database without managing backend infrastructure.

Custom apps are only required if you want to build custom point-and-click apps to import data to the OCP database.

See the [OCP developer documentation](docId\:ZkIBQlNrMeeNKlb0etdWK) to get started.
