4.0.0
October 15, 2026
Version 4.0.0 is a major release with breaking changes for iOS. The Dart API and Android support do not change.
Breaking changes
(FSSDK-13263) – Moved the iOS integration to Swift Package Manager (SPM) only and removed CocoaPods support. This change keeps the Flutter SDK aligned with Swift SDK 6.0.0, which no longer supports CocoaPods. Version 4.0.0 requires iOS 15.0 or later and Flutter 3.44 or later. See Install the Flutter SDK for the migration steps.
Dependency updates
(FSSDK-13264) – Updated the native iOS Swift SDK from 5.5.0 to 6.0.0, which matches the SPM-only, iOS 15.0 requirements of this release. The Swift SDK API does not change. See Install the Flutter SDK for the iOS requirements.
