Email and SMS channels are legacy features and not offered to new customers.
:::

You must add specific DNS records to authenticate your sending domain when configuring it in Optimizely Data Platform (ODP) to send emails under your domain name and enhance email deliverability.

## Update your DNS information

1. Go to **Settings > Email Settings > Domains & IPs**.
2. Copy each entry under **All Domains** and add them to your DNS provider's settings, or click **email the full list of DNS records with instructions to a teammate** and enter the administrator's email address.
3. Click **Verify All DNS Records** when the administrator has updated the DNS records. The authentication can take up to 15 seconds. When verified, the status for all records changes to green.

**Note**

GoDaddy, Network Solutions, and NameCheap automatically add your brand domain and top-level domain to the end of these DNS records. For example, entering el.docs.zaius.com in the **Host Name** will turn that value to *el.docs.zaius.com.zaius.com*, resulting in a DNS error. Enter *el.doc* into the DNS record instead.
:::

If the status does not change, it can mean the DNS entries are still propagating, which takes around 30 minutes. If it takes longer than 30 minutes, contact [Optimizely Support](docId\:bdIN0-xeyJqQDBKgW0eBV).
