The values you add to the Manufacturer System List appear in the **Manufacturer** drop-down list for Brands on the **Brands** > **Details** finger tab.

You can add a level to your **Brands** hierarchy by using Manufacturers. To add vendors, see [Work with Product Vendors](docId\:PMM0CCIkUWpLYH9Gze0H2). If you want this information to appear on your website, for example on the **Product Detail** page, you will need to add the field via the CMS or extension.

1. Go to **Administration > System > System Lists** in the Admin Console.
2. Click **Edit** next to **Manufacturer**.
3. Select the **Values** finger tab.
4. Click **Add System List Value**.
5. Enter the **Name**, then add a description, additional info, and a deactivate on date, if needed.
6. Click **Save**.
