Optimizely Commerce Connect handles content versioning in a similar manner to Optimizely CMS, but there are important differences.

## Multiple language support

Commerce Connect generates a version for every enabled language automatically. For example, if you create a catalog entry that supports multiple languages, Commerce Connect generates a version for each language. In Optimizely CMS, to add a language-specific version, you must first translate the content.

## Determine the number of versions saved

By configuration, the UIMaxVersions attribute defines the maximum number of page versions that Optimizely will retain. You can use a [Scheduled job](docId:6wrFeKDoxaoRkiOoq2rPr) to eliminate old catalog versions.
