Optimizely Content Management System (CMS) and Commerce Connect share the **Assets** panel. Use it to organize, manage, and reuse content from one central location. Assets include media files (images, documents, and videos), [shared blocks](docId\:GgZHc3ipw47sReI5vLRVY), and Commerce Connect catalog products. Drag and drop items such as images, blocks, or products onto a page.

Edit images or blocks and create folders directly from the **Assets** panel. The context menu provides options based on the selected asset type. The following topics describe how to work with assets:

**Note**
By default, the **Assets** panel contains **Shared Blocks** and **Media**, with **Catalog entries** added for Commerce Connect. The panel is a plug-in area, so additional asset types display depending on your implementation.
