Ratings
Ratings let users quantify the value of content, products, and other application resources. As a developer, you can design features that enable users to provide quantifiable feedback that can be tallied and calculated, producing meaningful measures to appraise that content.
Define a rating
A rating is a simple structure that is powerful in its flexibility. Its three core attributes are customizable, allowing a developer to tailor an application's rating system to its needs.
Rate a target
In the Optimizely Community API, a rating is represented with the Rating class.
Manage ratings
In the Optimizely Community API, ratings and rating statistics are managed through a service implementing the IRatingService and IRatingStatisticsService interfaces, respectively. These services can persist, retrieve, and remove ratings you define and their associated rating statistics.
Extend ratings with composites
You may need to associate additional information with a rating or the rating statistics to support the use cases of your application. For example, a rating warrants a supporting explanation, so you want to store that text with the rating.
