Differences between the mailing types:

- regular: The mailing is sent to all defined recipients and then stopped. The mailing status changes to DONE.
- event: The mailing is not sent to all defined recipients. The mailing status changes to SENDING. From now on, mails can be sent via [sendMail](docId\:MljW-g0Tns7tv20KCmmku) or [sendMails](docId\:lw2Tc9dPJryjRDDOKmksy).

**Warning:** Do not start a mailing of the type template.

**Type**: void

**Parameters**

| Name         | Type   | Value                                                          |
| ------------ | ------ | -------------------------------------------------------------- |
| sessionId    | String | ID of the session                                              |
| mailingId    | long   | ID of the mailing                                              |
| scheduleDate | Date   | (Optional) If set, the mailing will be sent on the given date. |
