Use the property block to select a specific property of a dataset or block.

Configure the block with the following fields:

- **Property** – Column or derived column.
- **Dataset or block** – Select an existing dataset or any other block defined within this context.

## Example

To create a metric of users' subscription tiers,

1. Select **subscription\_tier** as the property.
2. Select the **Users** dataset as the actor.
3. Click **Run**.

## Output

The output of this block is the same as the selected property.
