Optimizely Agent Platform supports a variety of file types across its features. Understanding the supported formats and their associated technical specifications ensures compatibility and optimal performance when uploading and managing your assets in Agent Platform.

The following sections outline the file types currently supported by Agent Platform, along with relevant limitations.

## Image files

For images, Agent Platform supports the following common web-friendly formats:

- `.png`
- `.jpeg`
- `.webp`

### Technical specifications for image file

- **Maximum images per prompt** – 3,000
- **Maximum image size** – 7 MB
- **Supported MIME type**s – `image/png`, `image/jpeg`, and `image/webp`.

## Document files

For documents, Agent Platform supports the following formats:

- `.pdf`
- `.txt`
- `.csv`

### Technical specifications for document files

- **Maximum number of files per prompt** – 3,000
- **Maximum number of pages per file** – 1,000
- **Maximum file size per file** – 50 MB
- **Supported MIME types** – `application/pdf`, `text/plain`, `text/csv`.

## Video files

For video content, Agent Platform supports the following formats:

- `.3gp`
- `.avi`
- `.flv`
- `.mov`
- `.mpeg`
- `.mp4`
- `.mpg`
- `.webm`
- `.wmv`

### Technical specifications for video files

- **Maximum video length (with audio)** – Approximately 45 minutes.
- **Maximum video length (without audio)** – Approximately 1 hour.
- **Maximum number of videos per prompt** – 10.
- **Supported MIME types**
  - `video/3gpp`
  - `video/mp4`
  - `video/mpeg`
  - `video/mpegs`
  - `video/mpg`
  - `video/quicktime`
  - `video/webm`
  - `video/wmv`
  - `video/x-flv`

## Audio files

For audio content, Agent Platform supports the following formats:

- `.aac`
- `.flac`
- `.m4a`
- `.mp3`
- `.mpeg`
- `.ogg`
- `.pcm`
- `.wav`

### Technical specifications for audio files

- **Maximum audio length per prompt** – Approximately 8.4 hours, or up to 1 million tokens.
- **Maximum number of audio files per prompt** – 1.
- **Speech understanding capabilities** – Audio summarization, transcription, and translation.
- **Supported MIME types**
  - `audio/x-aac`
  - `audio/flac`
  - `audio/mp3`
  - `audio/m4a`
  - `audio/mpeg`
  - `audio/mpga`
  - `audio/mp4`
  - `audio/ogg`
  - `audio/pcm`
  - `audio/wav`
  - `audio/webm`

## Mark chat

[Mark chat](docId\:dtNBEttEGVvkhNkwNypLM) supports the following additional file types for upload:

- `.xlsx`
- `.docx`
- `.pptx`

When the `code_execution` tool is enabled, Mark can read, create, and edit on-brand `.docx` and `.pptx` files. Use Mark to summarize Word documents, build PowerPoint presentations, or modify existing files without leaving the chat.
