Personal files in Optimizely Agent Platform let you store documents, notes, and reference material that agents access automatically during task execution. Use this article to create, upload, edit, and organize files in the Personal Files tab.

## The Personal Files tab

The Personal Files tab has two panels:

- The **Files** panel lists your files and folders. The toolbar contains **New file**, **New folder**, and **Search files**. Select **Select** to act on several files and folders at once.

- The editor displays when you select a file. Use the editor toolbar to **Undo**, **Redo**, **Expand to full screen**, and access **More**. Switch between the source and preview tabs to edit or review the rendered output.

Mark automatically generates and maintains some files, for example `MEMORY.md`. These files are read-only and display an information banner in the editor. Do not delete auto-generated files.
