Enable Virtual Teammates in Agent Platform so users in your organization can hire and configure their own AI teammates. As a Mark administrator, you enable a teammate for your organization by turning on the jobs you want and connecting the tools it needs.

This article is for Mark administrators. To hire and configure a teammate as a user, see [Hire a Virtual Teammate](docId:0-cn_dp-ZvYzjZWMrm8MS).

## Prerequisites

Before you enable a Virtual Teammate, configure your organization's email domain in Mark. Each teammate works from its own mailbox at that domain, such as `chief-of-staff@vau.yourcompany.opal.optimizely.com`.

To configure the email domain, go to **Settings > Email Domain**. For the steps, see [Get started with Mark for administrators](docId\:pe0pbUJveWrG8ewvZWDRE).

## Enable a Virtual Teammate

Complete these in Mark steps to enable a Virtual Teammate for your organization:

1. Click **Directory > Virtual Teammates**. If your team has no teammates yet, click **Grow your team > Browse the directory**.

2. Find the teammate you want, such as the Chief of Staff.

**Note**

To review what the virtual teammate does first, click the teammate's tile. To view its details, click **Details**.

3. Click **Enable for your team**.
4. (Optional) Toggle off any jobs you do not want to make available.

5. Click **Set up connectors**.
6. Click **Add connector** for each tool the teammate needs, and install it. If a connector is already installed in your organization, you can skip it. See [Connector tools overview](docId\:eeUZC_bU6INq4qTCkqXjU).

7. Click **Enable teammate**.

After you enable the teammate, your users can hire and configure their own from the **Directory** tab. Each teammate gets its own email address in your Mark domain.

You can change which jobs are available or freeze hiring for a teammate at any time. See [Manage Virtual Teammates for your organization](docId\:JqSAzQXb-M_V_2KBUboq_).

## Next steps

Users hire and configure their own Virtual Teammate from the Directory. For the steps, see [Hire a Virtual Teammate](docId:0-cn_dp-ZvYzjZWMrm8MS).
