Agent Platform is available in [Google Cloud's Gemini Enterprise](https://cloud.google.com/gemini-enterprise?hl=en). Mark can leverage the Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocol, which lets Mark exchange structured messages with other AI agents to coordinate complex, multi-step work inside a single workflow across vendors and frameworks.

**Note**

A2A is an emerging interoperability standard. Partners and capabilities can change. Expect rapid iteration across the ecosystem.
:::

### What you can do

- **Interoperate across vendors** – Connect Mark to third-party agents that implement A2A without building bespoke tool integrations.
- **Compose multi-agent workflows** – Orchestrate tasks across Mark agents and external agents to handle scenarios no single agent can manage alone.
- **Keep security boundaries** – Use protocol-level authentication and scoped credentials so each agent only accesses what it needs.

### How it works

[Gemini Enterprise](https://cloud.google.com/gemini/enterprise/docs?hl=en) exposes vendor-neutral A2A endpoints. Mark sends requests that include intent, inputs, and context, and the partner agent returns a typed response. Each request and response pair is a contract. Both sides agree on the message schema, auth method, and timeouts.

### Requirements

- **Gemini Enterprise access** – A Gemini Enterprise project with A2A enabled. Contact your Gemini Enterprise administrator.
- **Mark permissions** – Access to configure agents and workflows in Mark.
- **Credentials** – A2A authentication details from the partner agent (for example, token or service account).

### Configuration

See the [Browse agents with Agents gallery](https://cloud.google.com/gemini/enterprise/docs/agents-gallery) article in the Google documentation for information on adding Mark to Gemini Enterprise. Or see [Mark chat for Gemini Enterprise](https://cloud.withgoogle.com/agentfinder/product/752f149c-4033-49e3-9b72-03004f0fa392/) to install the Mark agent directly.

### Limits and notes

- **Ecosystem maturity** – Not every vendor supports A2A yet; capabilities may vary.
- **Rate limits** – Partners may enforce quotas. Design workflows that queue or degrade gracefully.
- **Tool compatibility** – You can combine A2A with traditional tool integrations. Use A2A when a partner agent exists, and use tools when you need direct API control.
